The Ministry and EPE plan to discuss the premises of transmission planning for this new paradigm, which is the evolution of demand related to large hydrogen and ammonia projects.
“The hydrogen plants will strengthen the green fertilizer sector and reduce our dependence on imports. Hydrogen is essential for producing green ammonia and strengthening our national industry and agriculture. This set of public policies that we are implementing will give us a more modern Brazil and consolidate our leadership in the energy transition. And Ceará will be one of the major green hydrogen hubs, putting into practice the 33 memoranda of understanding already signed,” highlighted the National Secretary of Energy Transition and Planning of the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), Thiago Barral.
