Projections indicate that the supply of ethanol in Brazil , considering sugarcane (first and second generation) and corn, could reach 48 billion liters by 2034 , which represents a growth of 3.8% per year , compared to 2022. The information is contained in the notebook of the Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan 2034 (PDE 2034), published this Monday (23/09) by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) and the Energy Research Company (EPE).
Studies on biofuels
The most recent PDE 2034 notebook presents projections of supply and demand for biofuels for the next ten years , considering public policies that impact the sector, such as tax differentiation in relation to fossil fuels, the National Program for the Production and Use of Biodiesel (PNPB), RenovaBio and the Bill for the Fuel of the Future Program.
Furthermore, the document addresses topics such as Bio-CCS, low-carbon hydrogen, synthetic fuels, biorefineries, international market, logistics and investments.
