The Federal District Government (GDF) and Neoenergia signed an agreement on Wednesday (21) to install a green hydrogen plant (green H2) that will operate as a fueling station for hydrogen-powered vehicles. The project is pioneering and foresees an investment of approximately R$30 million by the electric power company, without any government funding.
The resources are related to the Research and Development Program of the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel). The memorandum was signed by Governor Ibaneis Rocha and Neoenergia managers during a meeting at the Palácio do Buriti. The gas station is expected to open in 2025, on Neoenergia land in Pistão Norte, in Taguatinga.
